AT&T PREPAID - Plans 2021: Are These The BEST Prepaid Phone Plans MHS and Tab?

At&t and At&t Prepaid plans are at it again! Just a few months back I reviewed their $30 plan with 5GB of High-Speed data and going to give their $40 plan run next cycle. Now its 2021! Here they come with the Boom!!!! Yes. At&t Prepaid now offers their prepaid customers a new $300 plan with 20GB of High Speed data! You getting 20GB of high speed data for $25/month.  But the key to this plan is that this $300 plan is a yearly or annual plan. But wait... Its a mobile hotspot and tablet plan. You get 20GB of data every month for 1 year. This is by far if not the best prepaid phone plan for just $300 for a year and or $25/month if you look at monthly. But it isn't a monthly or pay as you go plan. So with the 20GB data att prepaid you also get the feature Stream Saver which allows you to get high definition video using Standard Definition streaming. But At&t states on their website that you can turn this feature off if you want to stream in HD quality. You also are allowed to Add-On more data with this plan as well if needed. For instance, if your were down to just 2GB and the 30 days in the cycle are not up yet, you can add on more data for a small amount cash.  You can add 3GB for $20 or you can add 1GB for $10.  But you must use that Add On data up first before your next cycle. There is no Data Rollover option with the annual plan. I wish it was because that is still a neat feature. This is only available for their $40(15GB) and $30 (5GB) plans. With those plans also you get Data Sponsor and Video Streaming and Data Rollover. Another thing missing from the $300 phone plan is HBO MAX and At&T TV. It wont be Data Free and these services will go against your 20GB of data each month. The $40 and $30 plans allow you to use HBO Max and At&t TV without touching your data.  So with all that being said and all of the new plans coming to At&t Prepaid, which of these would you choose if you had great coverage with At&t and you were on a budget? Below is the breakdown of the new $300 annual plan.

$300 20GB 12-Mo MHS/Tab Plan Mobile Hotspot and Tablet plan
Plan Includes
360 days upon payment of the plan charge. Plan will renew every 30 days for the 12 periods.  Next payment will be due at 11:59 p.m. CST on the 360th day.

Data: 20GB of high speed data every 30 days.

Data Add-On: If you use up all of your high speed data, you can add on data for a low charge amount. Just make sure you have used almost all of your data before adding more to service. This Add-On data will be used first before the actual data plan finishes.

Video Streaming: This includes Stream Saver which will allow you to stream HD videos in Standard Definition quality. Stream Saver can be turned off at anytime if you decide to stream video in Full HD quality.

So. this $300 plan is for your mobile hotspot and tablets. But if you dont mind not having calls and texts with this plan and use all data. This is the right plan for you.

DISCLAIMER: This plan is a Data Only Plan, Mobile Hotspots and or for tablets. This plan does not include Unlimited Talk and Text. An alternative for the talk and text solution is to download Google Voice and TextNow apps. Both of these apps are unlimited talk and text over data or Wifi and both applications are for free!!! You can get them both on the Apple App store and Google Play Store.

At&t Prepaid $30 a month plan Mini review! A MUST HAVE!!!

At&t Prepaid has a couple new featured plans now for those customers who want a little more data but for less.  These two new plans start at $30/month and $40 a month. The 30 dollar a month plan comes with 5GB of high-speed data and then slows down once you use up the 5GB. The 40 dollar plan includes 15GB of high-speed data then gets slow once a user uses up all of its high-speed data. There are still a $75 plan and a $65 plan. But we just going to focus on the cheapest one right now as I chosen this to test out and see if its effective and rather or not good for most consumers that want data at a affordable price. I'm going to discuss some of additional features that also included in the plan that interest users and customers.

What Comes With The Plan?
Outside of getting 5GB of high-speed data, you can get data rollover, mobile hotspot, data sponsor, stream saver, and even wifi-calling. Now some of these features might not matter to most, but in many ways than others. Below is a breakdown of how each feature works and their benefits.

DATA ROLLOVER:
Data rollover was one of my favorite features of all time when it comes to having leftover data or unused data and being able to use the extra data in the next month. This feature surprisingly still available on At&t's prepaid service. So if you have 5GB of high-speed data and only use 2GB for the month, you'll rollover the unused 3GB of data for the next month. The downside to this cool feature is that you'll have to use this 3GB of unused data up first in the following month. If it is not all used up it will not rollover a second time meaning you'll go back to your regular 5GB of data the following month. But before you run out of that data, you can add on an additional 1GB of data for 10 dollars more or add an extra 3GB data for $20. If that's the case I would just add the additional 3GB before I run out of my 5GB of high speed data. That would be best for anyone if your using up all the data. But that's how the data rollover feature works on this At&t plan.

MOBILE HOTSPOT:
Mobile hotspot is when you allow your other devices to connect to your mobile data using your phone or tablet or portable hotspot data to connect to the internet. Rather its for streaming or listening or messaging. This is available with the $30 prepaid plan. But the data used via mobile hotspot does count against your data on your plan. Just remember this once using it.

DATA SPONSORS:
Data sponsor feature is interesting to discuss. This allows you to use your data plan without touching your mobile data. Sponsor Data enables companies to sponsor data usage for certain content for At&t customers. Sponsor data allows users to browse and stream content from sponsored companies. For example, At&t allow wireless customers to stream HBO MAX, AT&T TV and DirectTV data free without touching your mobile data. These services are sponsors of At&t. For more information, head to Att website for further details.

STREAM SAVER:
Stream saver is another interesting feature that users may like and not like. This is for when you are viewing and streaming content. It set the stream and video to 480p which is DVD quality or Standard video. This feature helps users use less data on their mobile phones or tablets. Another downside would be that this feature can't be turned off. So if you don't like low res viewing you better off upgrading to their $60 unlimited data plans or using WiFi if you don't want to spend an additional $30 to upgrade your plan.

WIFI CALLING:
Yes. WiFi Calling apparently is a feature. This is available on At&t prepaid and you can turn this on and activate WiFi Calling via the Network settings located in device settings of your mobile phone or tablet. This will allow you to still make calls and send sms over WiFi if there is no service or signal available.

BONUS FEATURE-BRIDGE PAY:
Bridge Pay is a feature option that allows you to extend your service up to 7 days longer if you can't afford to pay in full at time of due date of your bill payment. You can find this option on your at&t bill account at the bottom of your homepage. This works when your plan has expired you'll have 2 options to choose from 1GB for $10 or 4GB for $20 and yes you still have unlimited talk and text included. The only cons with is the add-on is only for the Bridge Pay and you only get 7 days of use with this option. This is basically an emergency use feature. Only when you can't afford to make your regular payment on time. This is still good to see that At&t is allowing customers time to gather some cash to make their payment.

FINAL VERDICT:
From my experience of using this plan and service, its going to be pretty tough to kill this data if you are usually on WiFi or using home internet and mainly on a low resolution mobile device especially at display of 1080p and under, 5GB of high speed data will be more than enough to get you by and get you through 30 days. The best advantages of this service is the stream saver feature and the data sponsor as these help you with saving a lot of data for browsing and streaming. Data rollover is useful as well. This is handy when you are away from wifi for a while or have no home internet. In the video below I breakdown what all I discovered with this At&t prepaid plan and the apps and services I used when using this plan and my usage of the service for the past week or so.

You Don't Have Unlimited data or Wifi or Cellular data. What Can I do?

So you just ran out high speed data and you dont have any WiFi? What can you do? Well in the video below I explained that most of your apps can work offline with you or be used on 2G Edge and 3G data connections. There are also cool gadgets that will give you TV for free without internet. Clearstream TV stick and the app you download or install to your Android or iOS device will give you live TV. Another app and gadget will give you free live HDTV is called Magic TV. There is app to download for free but you will need the gadget for it to work offline. You can find Magic TV on eBay for as much as $5. Another cool option or gadget to buy online is called Wireless Sandisk Connect. This will allow you to view photos music and movie files offline with the wireless flash drive stick. The USB flash drive size comes in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 200GB of storage. Now the Sandisk company doesnt produce these products anymore. And there are a lot of sellers on Amazon and eBay with very high prices for these wireless sticks. So if you truly want one be careful of the seller you buy it from. Next up, well, this shouldnt be surprising now but your FM radio app will work without high speed data or wifi. Just use your headphones or bluetooth headsets and rock to your music and podcasts and favorite radio shows. Most phones on Android are bloated with free games from the phone companies and well, those apps dont need high speed data or WiFi either. Its easy to just check and see what apps will work and see the ones that dont. There we have it.  You will make it through another day week and maybe month knowing you can make it with data you use or dont use. So what apps have you come across that works offline?

How Did I Get An Unlimited Data Plan for $5/Month High Speeds No Cap No ...

Visible Wireless is a Verizon Wireless Cellular company. They piggy back off Verizon Wireless towers for cell service. They do everything through their applications on Android and iOS. You can get cell service from them just by downloading their apps. The one key thing you must remember is that your smart phone must work on Verizon network. So if your device doesn't have the bands to connect to Verizon this service isn't going to work for you. The normal price of this service is $40/monthly. No taxes and no fees included. 1 line only. Visible has this feature for groups called the Visible Party. This is when you invite 3 more people to join your group and for each person you save $5/month per person. So you end up saving $15 a month and makes the total of your phone bill now and down onto $25 a month. Now how cool is that! Well, wait! Before Visible had ended their referral program, you could get up $200 in credit for your phone bill! They then would deduct this from your monthly plan and whatever you owed after the deduction of credits thats what you would end up paying.  So, in my case, I only paid up $5 a month. Im on a Visible Party and I have bill credits. Wait... There's more! You also could end up earning up to $200 in virtual master card depending upon the mobile device you buying from Visible, you could score and use that money to go towards your mobile data bill and wouldn't have to worry about a phone bill up to 1 year! So this is how I was able to cut my cell phone bill down to $5 a month on Visible Wireless.
