Can You Stream HBO Max & Sling TV on TextNow’s Hour Data Pass?

Many people wonder if streaming apps actually work on TextNow’s Hour Data Pass. In this post, I tested HBO Max and Sling TV in real time to see what really happens.

What Is TextNow’s Hour Data Pass?

TextNow offers an Hour Data Pass that allows access to certain data services without a traditional mobile data plan.

HBO Max Streaming Test Results

I opened the HBO Max app, selected a show, and tested playback using only TextNow’s Hour Data Pass. Here’s what worked and what didn’t.

Sling TV Streaming Test Results

Next, I tested Sling TV to see if live streaming would load and play.

What Worked (And What Didn’t)

• App loading behavior
• Video playback quality
• Buffering and limitations

Final Thoughts

If you’re trying to stream on TextNow, results may vary, but this test shows what’s possible.

Official Image From TextNow.com/

TextNow Wireless recently launched 4 new plans that all include some high-speed up to 5GB plus mobile hotspot and all paid plans include 2.5G unlimited data.  The first plan has  Ad Free Lite while the other 3 have Ad Free+ features and even Free Roaming in Mexico and Canada! Now the one paid plan that caught my very four eyes was the first paid plan that they have on their list and website which is the $8.99/mo plan!  This plan is the most affordable phone plan that includes unlimited talk text data and 2.5G unlimited data as well. It also includes mobile hotspot and data roaming! This is what I called the Pandora, Spotify and Netflix of cellular phone service!

Yes! I said it! TextNow Wireless $8.99/mo phone plan is the phone plan of Spotify and Pandora and Netflix. There are still streamers that are paying for the premium services of Pandora and Spotify and Netflix. When you compare their basic paying plans, you see why I calling TextNow Wireless $8.99/mo cellphone plan like those providers. I have a full review video down below. R.I.P. To Movie Theaters ?

Hello everyone, in this live stream video I discuss is 2021 the end of the movie theaters? HBO Max has recently announced that they are going to be streaming Wonder Woman 84 on Christmas Day the same as the movie theaters will be releasing the movie to the public to go see. But due to the series of life changes around us some people have fears of going out in public or going to the theaters. Just think about the money an average family member spends on going in public to then movies and think about how they spend at home streaming movies. HBO Max is $14.99 a month by itself and you have Hulu now starting at $1.99/month or $5.99/month and Netflix at $8.99-$17.99/month for all their content they have available. When you are going to a movie you are going to see just one movie. Think about the ticket prices for an average movie theater viewing per person which is roughly anywhere between $6.50-$14 a ticket. The movie experience is pretty fun and I get that. You get a nice comfy seat (I hope) big screen and loud speakers to hear the sounds and vibrations from crashes to the xplosions. But is it worth getting sick over now as we are facing a pandemic in the world? Check out my stream below and follow along as I give you my thoughts on the end of an era of how we watch movies going forward.
